Greetings, and thank you for your interest in my speech therapy clinic! My name is Brianne Oachs, and I am an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist dedicated to fostering effective communication skills. With over 17 years of experience in education, working with young children to young adults, I specialize in speech sound disorders, language, literacy, and executive function skills with neurodiverse individuals.
My academic journey began at Minnesota State University-Mankato (Go Mavs!), where I earned my Bachelor's of Science (2004) and Master's of Science (2006) degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I have a passion for research and implementation science and regularly pursue ongoing education opportunities in my areas of expertise.
Outside of my professional endeavors, I live in the Twin Cities with my husband (a fellow Maverick), our twin boys, and our 3-year-old cocker spaniel. In the summer, we spend as much time as we can outside and up north at our family cabin in Longville, MN.

Often, our clients' needs do not present in isolation, and we observe an overlap of areas of need. With this in mind, all speech therapy services provided use an executive function and self-regulation approach to learning. Plus, we make it FUN through multisensory activities and we LOVE to incorporate areas of special interest.
This summer we are offering Dyslexia and Written Expression Intensives. This is a great opportunity to maximize growth during the summer at a discounted rate.
*Assessment fee is included in intensive options.
*Individual or strategic small group sessions.
*1.5 hour sessions- 3x a week for 4 weeks
*Assessments will be completed in April and May.

Expressive Minds provides a comprehensive assessment to determine clients' areas of strength and needs. We use a variety of assessment procedures, and we never rely solely on one measure to guide our treatment plan. Following the consultation meeting, an assessment plan will be outlined based on the areas of concern.

Following the evaluation, a printable report will be available for you in the client portal. A meeting will be set to review the evaluation information, discuss questions, and, if appropriate, develop treatment goals and service delivery models.

Treatment can be provided in 30-minute or 60-minute increments. The frequency will be discussed and determined at the consultation meeting. We strive to be creative with how often and where services are provided to meet each family's unique needs best.
We are an out-of-network provider for all assessments and services.
HIPPA-Compliant Payment Options: personal checks and credit card payments through the patient portal.
We will gladly provide you with a "Superbill" to submit to your insurance or use your HSA or FSA funds. If you plan to use the Superbill to submit to your insurance, it is highly recommended that you check with your insurance plan before starting therapy with Expressive Minds.
Some of our clients have already received a comprehensive Speech/language or comprehensive Special Education Evaluation through their school district or other agency, which includes valuable information. If the information is less than one year old, we can use portions for our evaluation, which may result in a reduced evaluation fee.
