Trouble with executive function isn't a diagnosis or a learning disability. But, it's common in people who learn and think differently. Everyone with ADHD has trouble with it, and lots of people with learning challenges struggle with executive function, too.
Our clinic weaves executive function skills and self-regulation into all of our sessions related to improving articulation, language and literacy skills. We also address executive function issues as a stand alone service to improve overall organization, time-management, and completion of academic assignments.
"Executive Function (EF) is self-regulation. It is a vast brain system that regulates our emotions, actions, thoughts, and perceptions. It includes skills such as the list below. (Tera Sumptner, Seeds of Learning)"
